The Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute (MPI) is on the lookout for awesome virtual secretariat volunteers to assist its 2024 Virtual Peacebuilding Training happening from September 16, 2024, to November 15, 2024.

The volunteers will serve as class assistants for the two online peacebuilding courses that will delve into diverse themes on advanced peace education and proposal writing for Civil Society Organizations.

As a virtual class assistant, you will have the chance to boost your knowledge and skills in peacebuilding and conflict transformation; hone your online programs and tech skills; and learn from engaging with participants from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds.

Who are we looking for?

MPI is looking for people who meet the following criteria:

  • Have access to a secure, high-speed internet connection, and a functioning laptop or desk computer and headset.
  • Familiar with common online programs and technologies like video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom), web browsers, and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom). Willingness to learn new platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Proactive and takes initiative when necessary
  • Prior knowledge of peacebuilding principles and the culture of peace is a valuable asset.
  • While the primary work location is the MPI office in Davao City, the ability to work from home may be considered.
