Ecosystems Works for Essential Benefits, Inc. (EcoWEB) is a non-profit organization working on sustainable livelihoods, conflict transformation, environmental protection, climate justice and disaster risk reduction and the protection of the rights of the Internally Displaced Persons and Indigenous Peoples. EcoWEB is one of the accompanying NGOs (ANGOs) in the Resource-Based Conflict and Peacebuilding Training Program. EcoWEB has also facilitated field-based courses in MPI.
International Alert In the Philippines helps to lay the foundations for locally-owned, inclusive and sustainable peace and development.
International Alert works with businesses, indigenous peoples and governments to help communities shape and benefit from economic development. They have pioneered a conflict incident monitoring system to understand the causes and costs of conflict. They research the impact that ‘shadow’ economies, like the trafficking of drugs, guns and people, have on conflict and development. They also support the peace negotiations between the government and rebel forces.
Kinaiyahan Foundation, Inc. (KFI) was established in 1988, as a non-government environmental organization focusing on environmental education and advocacy and community development. Kinayihan is the Cebuano word for nature. KFI is pro-actively involved in facilitating community empowerment through popular education, promotion of indigenous knowledge and systems, appropriate and environment-friendly technologies, policy advocacy and linkage-building towards the building of healthy and sustainable communities. KFI developed and facilitated the field-based course on Indigenous Peoples’ Peacebuilding Mechanisms in the Annual Peacebuilding Training for the last three years.
Mindanao Peaceweavers (MPW) is a convergence of peace advocates in Mindanao. It was conceived during the “Peace in MindaNOW Conference” in Davao City in May 2003, and convened by seven peace groups that coalesced in the spirit of cooperation, complementation and concerted action towards a common advocacy peace platform. It currently represents the broadest network of peace constituency in Mindanao cutting across NGOs, academe, religious, human rights groups, peoples organizations and grassroots communities in advancing a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Mindanao. Since 2011, MPW has been partnering with MPI in organizing a special public forum during the Annual Peacebuilding Training.
Pakigdait ug Pag-Amoma Alang sa Kalinaw or Pakigdait Incorporated is an interfaith grassroots peacebuilder organization based in Lanao del Norte, Philippines.
Pikhumpongan Dlibon Subanen, Inc. (PDSI) is based in Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao. It is a network of Subanen women leaders which is one of the country's ethnic tribes. PDSI aims to strengthen the capacity of Subanen women in coping with their respective issues; provide support to improve their access to livelihood; and work for the preservation of customary laws and culture. Along with EcoWEB, PDSI is one of MPI's partners in the Resource-Based Conflict and Peacebuilding Training Program.
