Please have the following documents ready for uploading: Curriculum Vitae/Résumé, a Letter of Recommendation, a Passport ID Page for international participants, and a copy of the page with your Philippine Visa for those living/working in the Philippines

6. Course Selections

Each week, MPI will be offering four courses that run concurrently. Therefore, you will only be able to attend one course per week. Acceptance to the course is on a first-come, first-served basis, and you may not get your first choice. Please rank your course preferences below by marking 1 for your top choice, 2 for your second, and so on.

Only select courses for the week(s) you plan to attend.

PLEASE NOTE: Strategic Peacebuilding (SPB) in Week 1, Praxis of Forgiveness and Reconciliation amidst Polarization (PFRP) and Peace Games (PG) in Week 2 have the following prerequisites: completion of MPI's foundational courses such as Foundations of Peacebuilding (FPB), Introduction to Conflict Transformation (ICT), From Understanding to Action: Designing Conflict Sensitive Interventions (FUA), and/or an equivalent course or experience.

Climate Justice: A Peacebuilding Approach (CJ) and Designing Peace Programs (DPP) in Week 2 have the following prerequisites: completion of MPI's foundational courses such as Foundations of Peacebuilding (FPB), Introduction to Conflict Transformation (ICT), From Understanding to Action: Designing Conflict Sensitive Interventions (FUA), Understanding Grassroots Environmental Peace (UGEP), and/or an equivalent course or experience.

FLUENCY IN ENGLISH IS REQUIRED FOR ALL COURSES.

The Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute Foundation, Inc. (MPI) considers your privacy very important and adheres to the 2012 Data Privacy Act of the Philippines. In compliance with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) effective since September 8, 2016, I allow the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute Foundation, Inc. (MPI) to process this application and, if accepted, provide certain services in relation to MPI’s 2025 Annual Peacebuilding Training.

As such, by entering my name below, I agree and authorize MPI to: 

  1. Use and process the information provided in this application to determine qualification for acceptance and placement in the appropriate course, ongoing communication, and, if necessary, assist in obtaining a visa.
  2. Retain and store my information for a period of five years from the date of the application if not accepted, and seven years if accepted into the 2025 Annual Peacebuilding Training in a secure manner for both electronic and physical copies.
  3. Share my information with the facilitators for course development and class activities, and with third parties for any legitimate purposes in relation to the training, such as room arrangements and meals. I am assured that security systems are employed to protect my information.
  4. Upon completion of the training, if I am accepted, to include my name, email address, and basic contact information in MPI’s alumni database and alumni newsletter email list for future communication.

A. Letter of Recommendation and Curriculum Vitae/Résumé

Please upload a Letter of Recommendation from an organization that knows you and your work. The letter should include how long they have known you; in what capacity they have observed your work; what your work entailed; your facility in the English language; and in what ways they think this training will be helpful to you. The recommending organization/person may upload the letter directly. We also request that you upload your most recent Curriculum Vitae/Résumé.
