Born and raised in the province of Davao de Oro (formerly Compostela Valley), Gina Lyn Adlaon moved to Davao City where she is now living with her family. Gina studied at the University of Southeastern Philippines where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation, she taught Chemistry for one year at the Rogationist Academy and was also engaged in real estate work. Gina eventually found her way into development work with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) where she worked as an Administrative Officer in projects funded by JICA for almost 14 years. She had the experience to serve and work with the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, now the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in projects related to capacity building. Before joining MPI as its Administrative Officer, Gina had been the Field Coordinator for Administration with JICA in its Davao City office. In her free time, Gina offers her assistance in times of natural disasters. She extended help to flood victims during typhoon Pablo in Davao de Oro province and now is engaged in peacebuilding advocacy.
