Hate Speech

Speech that is intended to foster hatred against groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual preference, national origin, or other traits.


Human Rights

The universal, indivisible, equitable, and indispensable claims and entitlements that are endowed to all persons simply by the sake of being human.


Human Security

Refers to the security of individuals and communities. The United Nations defines
human security as “people-centered, comprehensive, context-specific, and prevention-oriented measures that seek to reduce the likelihood of conflicts, help overcome the obstacles to development and promote human rights for all.”At the minimum, it refers to safety from direct threats of violence. 

A comprehensive approach to human security includes three components: freedom from fear, freedom from want, and freedom to live in dignity. In some regions, the term “multi-dimensional security” is more popular. The terms democratic securitymulti-dimensional securitycitizen security, or community security refer to similar ideas.
