Guide to Zoom
Zoom is the primary platform that MPI uses for its online live sessions. This guide provides an introduction to Zoom and highlights some of the features commonly used during the online sessions. For a complete guide to using Zoom, visit the Zoom Help Center.
1. Introduction
Zoom is an online video communication platform. It can be used for one to one communication and for large group meetings.
The first thing you should do is sign up for a free Zoom account. You may do so at this link: https://zoom.us/signup
Once you have signed up, you should then download the application. It is available here: https://zoom.us/download.
It is available for both Android and iOS mobile phones. MPI recommends using it on a computer to maximize all the features and because some facilitators will ask you to use other web-based applications at the same time.
A basic resource is Zoom Support's Guide for Beginners or Zoom 101: Basic Steps for Using Zoom.
